FAQ
So what is a Replica Jukebox ?
We designed a Jukebox with the same unmistakable style as an original but using a modern mechanism and for a fraction of the cost of an original 1960's Jukebox. The main brief for the design was ease of construction and to keep cost to a minimum.
How easy are they to make
By following the easy to understand instructions, we believe anybody can construct one. They are no fancy woodworking joints, no metalwork skills, no previous knowledge of jukeboxes is needed, all is explained in plain english. They look complicated as a whole but take each piece separately, its a lot simplier than it looks.
How much do they cost to build ?
Excluding the dome, mural and doner Jukebox around £100. We sell the Domes and Murals in our shop.
What about the Doner Jukebox ?
The Doner Jukeboxes we use are Rowe Ami R82-R89 series Jukeboxes from the 1980,s They can be bought cheaply. (see picture top left) The only modifacation needed are on the buttons, all is explained in great detail.
What happens if i get stuck ?
We have our own Forum were members can exchange hints, tips or just chat and post their own photos.
What tools are required ?
No specialist tools are required only normal hand tools, the only power tools needed are a drill and jigsaw.
Where can i buy the materials?
We decided to make the build easy so 90% of materials can be bought from your local hardware store. We sell the Domes, Murals in our shop.
